Who follow, Jules or Cortney story from here?
Jules returns different
It was the sound of the door that woke her. Not the usual creak and slam of Jules' dramatic entrances, but a soft, careful click, like someone trying not to be heard. Cortney's eyes fluttered open, her phone screen glowing 2:47 AM from the floor where it had fallen. She must have been more exhausted than she thought—the Bryce message was still there, unread, but she'd deal with that tomorrow. The room was dark, lit only by the faint sliver of hallway light cutting through the crack in the door. Jules stood just inside, her back against the wall, her jacket gone that she was wearing.
Jules didn't move. She just stood there, pressed against the wall like she was trying to merge with the shadows. The hallway light caught the edge of her jaw, illuminating the sharp line of her throat. Her eyes were fixed on Cortney—not with the usual playful mischief, but with something darker.lust filled. Cortney's mouth went dry. "Jules? You okay?" Jules didn't answer. Instead, she pushed off the wall and walked toward Cortney's bed. Her movements were fluid, almost predatory, each step deliberate and silent. The floorboards didn't even creak under her weight. "Jules, you're freaking me out." Cortney sat up, clutching her blanket to her chest. "What happened at that class?" Jules stopped at the foot of the bed. She tilted her head, and the light caught her eyes—they seemed darker than before, the pupils blown wide. A slow smile spread across her lips. "It was...enlightening," she said, her voice low and smooth. "Really?" Jules leaned forward, bracing her hands on the mattress. The blanket slipped from Cortney's fingers. Jules was so close now that Cortney could feel the air radiating from her skin—cold, like stepping into a freezer. Not the usual warmth of a living body. "Cortney." Jules's voice was a whisper, intimate and charged. "I've been thinking about youbthe whole way back, About the way you bite your lip when you're annoyed. The way you look at me when you think I'm not paying attention." Cortney's heart hammered against her ribs. "You're not making sense. You're freezing cold. What happened to you?" Jules reached out and touched Cortney's cheek. Her fingers were ice, but the touch was gentle, almost reverent. "I told you, enlightened" she repeated. "I like you."
And when she said that, her eyes flickered—shifted, deepened, and Cortney saw them. Alluring crimson irises, glowing faintly in the dim room. Cortney's breath caught in her throat. Jules's smile widened, revealing canines that seemed just sharper than before. "Don't be afraid," Jules whispered, her cold thumb tracing Cortney's jawline. Cortney's mind raced. This wasn't the same Jules, couldnt be,could it. She looks the same, yet acting way differently. that midnight class what exactly happened to change her so much so fast ,But the way those crimson eyes looked at her—the desire in them was unmistakable. "What fid that class do to you?" Cortney's voice trembled. Jules leaned closer, her lips brushing against Cortney's ear.
"It showed me what I really want," she breathed, her cold breath sending shivers down Cortney's spine. Before Cortney could respond, Jules pulled back just enough to meet her eyes. Those crimson irises glowed with an intensity that made Cortney's stomach flutter. Jules's hands moved to the hem of her own shirt, her fingers grazing her stomach as she lifted the fabric. Cortney's breath caught. "Jules, wait—" But Jules was already pulling the shirt over her head, revealing pale skin that seemed to shimmer in the dim light. a flawless surface, unblemished and smooth, except by her tatoos. Jules tossed the shirt aside, her gaze never leaving Cortney's face. "Fick me Cortney," Jules said, her voice a low murmur. She lowered herself onto the bed, her bare skin brushing against Cortney's legs. The cold was startling but not unpleasant—like stepping into a cool breeze on a hot day. Jules's hands found Cortney's waist, her touch firm but gentle. Cortney's mind spun. This was insane. Impossible. But Jules's hands were real against her skin, and those crimson eyes held a sincerity. Jules leaned in, her lips hovering just above Cortney's. " I'm Yours, if you want me."
Cortney's heart thundered in her chest as Jules's cold hands found the hem of her sleep shirt. The fabric lifted slowly, deliberately, Jules's icy fingers trailing up Cortney's stomach, leaving goosebumps in their wake. "Jules," Cortney whispered, but it wasn't a protest anymore. It was a question. Jules answered by pulling the shirt over Cortney's head, exposing her to the cool air. Jules's crimson eyes roamed over Cortney's body with an intensity that made her feel seen, desired, wanted in a way she'd never felt before. Jules's hands moved lower, finding the waistband of Cortney's shorts. Her fingers hooked into the elastic, and she paused, meeting Cortney's gaze. "Tell me to stop," Jules breathed, her voice trembling slightly. "Tell me this is too much." But Cortney couldn't form the words. Instead, she reached up and tangled her fingers in Jules's hair, pulling her closer. Jules took that as permission, sliding the shorts down Cortney's legs, her cold lips trailing kisses along Cortney's thigh as she went. The sensation was electric, a mix of cold and heat that left Cortney gasping. Jules looked up, her crimson eyes glowing in the dim light, a possessive hunger in them. "You're mine now, Cortney," she said, her voice barely a whisper. "And I'm going to show you exactly what that means."
"Yes, I'm yours, my mistress," Cortney breathed, her eyes hazing over as Jules's vampiric spell took hold of her senses. The words came out thick, heavy with submission, as if her consciousness was melting away under the weight of those crimson eyes. Jules's smile widened, her fangs glinting in the darkness. "Good girl," she whispered, her cold lips pressing against Cortney's neck. A sharp sting followed, and Cortney moaned, her fingers clenching in Jules's hair as she felt her blood being drawn. But there was no pain, only pleasure, spreading through her like warm honey. Cortney's body arched against Jules's, her mind floating somewhere between surrender and ecstasy. She could feel Jules feeding, could feel the connection forming between them, a bond that transcended anything she had ever known. When Jules finally pulled back, her lips stained crimson, her eyes burned brighter than ever. "Now you're truly mine," she said, her voice resonating with power. "And I will never let you go." Cortney nodded, her thoughts no longer her own, her will melting into Jules's embrace. "I don't want you to," she whispered, pulling Jules back down for a kiss that tasted of copper.
