Joyce Summers was renting her spare room out to me after her daughter, Buffy, went to college. I guess empty nest syndrome was a heavy thing. But little did she know that I was secretly a demon sent to enslave Buffy and her friends. With my powers of hypnosis, I thought, what better way to get to Buffy than by hypnotizing her mom first?
