Josh and Sara!?

"Look, I don't know what happened with it, alright?" A female voice said loudly. It sounded whiny. Anna knew this voice, though she struggled to place it with her head in such a fog. Instinctively, it made her feel deferential but oddly antagonistic towards. Whoever this woman was she felt like a competitor of higher status.

"We had the power to alter the entire world at our finger tips and you just sent it away?" Another voice responded. Manly. Powerful. Anna sighed inwardly, barely hearing what he said. It was Master. Even hearing his voice made her want to curl up on his lap and feel his hands run through his hair.

"Yeah, I-" The woman started to respond.

"Welcome home, Master." Anna interjected, crawling forward slightly to plant a long deep kiss on Master's feet. For some reason, the two went silent. When Anna looked up she understood why.

Even as addled as she was by circumstances, Anna recognized that the beautiful powerful man standing above her was Josh, Sara's boyfriend, and the girl next to him was his girlfriend, Sara. Sara, of course, had known her since they were both in junior high. Meanwhile, while Josh had been a bit of a...a bit of a...wonderful guy? Yes, yes of course. The moment she met him she fell head over heels for him. And...wait. Or did she grudgingly learn to tolerate him because they both liked the same trading card game? But, that couldn't be right, could it?

Anna squinted, looking closer as Josh's face. It was like there was two tracks to her mind. In one, he was a golden Adonis who she simply wanted to worship. In the other he was just some guy that she had been dating her friend and who she was on okay terms with. The two perceptions struggled for dominance in her head.

Sara and Josh, meanwhile, turned to face one another, eyes wide.

"Oh crap." Sara said, facepalming.
