Jokingly suggest Mark

The first name that pop's into your head of friends she doesn't get along with is Mark. You've known each other since you were kids and that's probably the only reason you're still friends with him. The guy was a huge player, never staying with one woman for very long. Jane always jokes behind his back about all the sluts he gets with, she's never liked him since you first introduced them. You just start laughing at the thought and she shoots you a confused look.

"Well there's always Mark," You say expecting her to join you in your laughter, instead she actually looks like she's thinking about it.

"You know what, that's a great idea, I think he's the perfect choice for what I'm doing here." You look at her dumbfounded, she must seriously trying to work things out with your friends if she's going to try patching things up with Mark. It doesn't look like she's wasting any time as she's typing away on her phone. She's smiling to herself as she messages him and you just kind of sit there unsure of what to do. Finally she turns to you, "Ok, I'm going on a date with him Friday."

You're confused by what she just said. "Wait, what do you mean a date?" As you ask she just rolls her eyes at you.

"Oh come on, you know the way Mark is, as soon as I mentioned wanting to hang out and get to know him better he suggested we go on a date. I figured it was harmless and would be a good way to get to know him in his natural environment," she explains calmly and you have to agree that does start to make sense. "Besides, maybe I'll get to see what all those sluts seem to like about him." She adds with a sly wink.

"Well as long as you two start to get along better I guess I'll be happy," you say begrudgingly.

"Thanks babe I knew you'd understand." She starts to finally pull herself up off the table. "Now I just need to figure out what to wear," she mumbles to herself as she walks off to your room to go through her clothes.
