Join the Girls

Mr. Brunson looks as dumbfounded as you. He looks back and forth between you and Lucas and swallows hard, then says, "O-oh... is that right?"

You turn to Lucas and whisper, "What are you doing?" This is not where you had expected your day to go.

Lucas glances sideways at you but ignores you and continues, "Aiken needs to change with the girls, sir. He's distracting all the guys in the boy's locker room. They're way too concerned with his panties and it's becoming disruptive."

"Lucas!" you hiss. You were distracting? Did that mean he'd seen you in your feminine underwear before then? Why was he trying to make you leave the locker room? This was not his decision to make! He was way over-stepping his bounds.

Mr. Brunson visibly recoils at the word panties, and wipes his brow with one hand. "I, uh - ahem - I see. Well, we're all very... accommodating here at this school. The principle has been very clear that all lifestyles are accepted... S-so if you personally identify in such a way that... Er... I mean if you're preference is to dress in a more feminine... type of... uhm..."

You tug on Lucas' sleeve while the coach blathers on, trying to get his words right. "What the hell, dude? Why are you trying to get me to change with the girls?"

Lucas finally looks at you and blushes, "Like I said... you're distracting some of the guys..."

You think for a second and it dawns on you. You whisper, "You? Have I been distracting you?"

Lucas' blush intensifies many-fold. "I mean... I try not to look... But when you're right there... I- I don't mind, but some of the other guys... I just don't want everyone seeing you... you know... undressed..."

Was Lucas jealous? You weren't sure that really excused what he was doing, but... it was a little flattering. You were glad to know he wasn't mad at you. It was more like he was trying to protect you. It was misguided, but still kind of nice to know he was looking out for you.

Mr. Brunson finally finishes "--and so in conclusion: we respect diversity and inclusiveness and... other stuff like that... and you are welcome to change wherever you like. So, um, to confirm: you want to change with the girls from now on, right? If so, I'll have to update your profile in the school's database to reflect that you identify as female. Is that alright?"

You look between Lucas and the coach and make up your mind.

You nod and gulp. "Yes, sir. I'll change with the girls from now on."

Lucas smiles and claps you on the back. "I think you made the right choice, Aiken. And uh... I really did try not to look at you changing after the first time I noticed your, um, underwear choice... So I haven't, you know, seen everything..."

Mr. Brunson walks you and Lucas back to gym class and takes the gym teachers aside for a moment, whispering in their ears. You see them both nod and look over at you. The female gym teacher smiles and waves.

When you get home later that day, you go straight to your room and change into girl clothes, and start getting dinner ready for Jeff.

You have a lot on your mind, and despite the fiasco in gym earlier, the one thing you can't stop thinking about is how you left things with Megan. You can still see her hollow smile and hear her soft, sympathetic words: I'm sorry for being rude... I didn't mean it...

At the dinner table, you turn to Jeff and say, "Sir... can I have Megan over again?" You can barely believe the words coming out of your own mouth. One of the most popular girls in school, who's seen you cross-dressing twice now, and you want to bring her over again?

Jeff seems surprised too. He raises both eyebrows. "Oh? Did you two actually hit it off? I won't say no to having Billy's girl over. Sure, how about tomorrow?"

You nod. Jeff arranges for Megan to come over for a 'date' the next night.

After dinner, you rush up to your room, pull out your makeup box , and bring up a makeup tutorial online.

Then you get to work.
