Chapter 58 by Johnrocker Johnrocker

Join Matt and Cassidy.

Mark decided to play it safe and sit where he felt most comfortable, that being with Matt and Cassidy.

Mark walked over with his beer to their table. He couldn’t help but notice Jess, she was giving him that ‘I’m going to milk your balls dry’ kind of seductive look. But with his experiences with her so far, chances are he would just end up being teased to no end and that’s it.

As for Miranda and Ali, it would have been nice to enjoy the company of two hotties he was **** to get in the pants of but he was just too nervous to even think about girls right now.

“I wish I didn’t bother with this thing” he said, planting his butt down on a stool next to the couple.

“Man you’ll be fine, I hate singing too but it’s easy, trust me, just chill,” replied Matt.

Mark began to chug his beer.

“You really thirsty there?” asked Cassidy, giggling at him smashing it down.

Mark shook his head, “This is just really not my thing. I really need to be drunk.”

One of the guys from Tiffany’s table had jumped on stage to sing ‘Don’t stop believing’. He looked tipsy already, must have had his own flask as well.

Worried that he would be **** up their tonight, Mark chugged the rest of his beer before getting more at the bar.

Coming back with two more, he noticed that Tiffany and Paul were now taking a shot at the microphone to sing a duet song. They were polar opposites but they still were able to get along very well on a night out.

“I would say you could join me but I’ve already talked Matt into doing ‘Don’t go Breaking my Heart’, one of my personal favourites,” beamed Cassidy.

Matt gave him a bit of a shrug, he probably would have preferred to go up there by himself than sing an embarrassing couples song. It was a much different mindset to Mark who would have loved to be able to have someone else up on stage to take the attention away from himself.

After Tiffany and Paul had finished, a few more from other tables had their go up on stage including Matt and Cassidy. They weren’t far off awful, their two voices couldn’t have been any different. Cassidy’s was a nice soft high voice to Matt’s croaky deep voice that was completely out of tone.

Without even realising though, Mark was started to really loosen up the more he drank and the more people sung.

The people on the stage began to appear a little blurry, he’d lost track of the amount of beers he had polished off and the fear of getting up on stage was gone.

He was cheering loudly as one of the other guys finished up on stage.

It didn’t go unnoticed, Tiffany called out from her table, “Hey Mark, you want to go next?”

About 20 minutes ago, that would have frightened the hell out of him but Mark was beyond a state of tipsy ness now. He got out of his stool and stumbled towards the stage in front of a round of applause.

What could go wrong...
