John needs a new apartment

I am a broke used bookstore employee in need of a new apartment. My online friends Hero and Croc vouched for someone who wants to take on a roommate to share costs. Moving in with a new person has me worried but I'm hoping it’s a drama-free arrangement.

I arrived at the Fry Farm and ordered a burger while waiting for my contact. My potential roommate is a recent addition to my online circle who goes by Rabbit. He comes across as blunt and nosy but overall friendly. Rabbit should be arriving in a black hoodie and I said I'll be in my yellow one. He should be here any minute now.

A girl’s Voice behind me startles me “Hmmm long brown hair, Caucasian, stubble beard, scrawny, and a yellow hoodie. You must be Books, good to finally meet you bookworm.” Books? That's my online handle. That must mean she is… turning i asked the girl “Rabbit is that you? I didn’t know you were a gi-” Then on the black haired wolf cut tanned girl i saw the qr code tattoo on her left cheek. the mark of a nymph. I froze. The Nymph smiles “ha! Keeping my gender a secret is worth that look on your face. How are you doing?. I hesitated my response “I'm good. I’m guessing you are Rabbit. Sorry for my shock, I wasn't expecting you to be a um...” “Nymph” she finished for me. Rabbit took the seat across from me “don’t worry it's literally written on my face.” She pointed at the qr code on her cheek “you want to scan it right?” Waving my hands I blurted “No thanks, I don’t even have the app.” Shrugging Rabbit changed the subject “Oh ya my name is Natalie Stein. What’s yours? I answered “John Page”
