Chapter 16
by maester
Blood or love?
John feels he must make love or soon die.
John considered attempting to create clothes, but he sensed he probably would not have the energy. "Isis, I'll need some clothes" She nodded and began coming out her hair with her talonned fingers. John was impressed as she magically wove her a set of simple silken pants and shirt. It was appearal for sleeping, but it was better than approaching Sarah buck-ass naked. It was a very nice outfit, but it made the skin ache for a woman's touch.
When John opened Sarah's door, she was already asleep. He walked as silently as the in rolling fog. Kneeling at the side of her bed, he look directly into her face. Her lips were only an inch away. Gently, John kissed Sarah. As she began to awakend she began to return the kiss until she was awake enough to realize this was not a dream.
"John," she gasped. "What are you doing here?!"
"Stealing a kiss," John answered.
"This is not like you at all, John," Sarah said. She could not decide what to think of this new character.
"You're are right, my sweet Sorayama. This was not like me." He laughed. "I was playing the part of the nice guy, the straight man, but I have decided that I am now going to play the pirate. As such, I have come for the greatest treasure I know." John did know where these cheesy lines were coming from, they simply spilled from his lips. He had to listen to them as much as Sarah did, for he did not know what he would say next. "The treasure of these rubies." He said and he kissed her lips. "These emeralds," he said and moved her bangs from in front of her eyes. He ran his fingers through her hair. "This silk. All of it I claim, by the code of the pirates."
How does Sara Sorayama feel about all this?
