Chapter 13
by thesuperman90
Later that night
Jessica gets altered again...and then again.
With the strange events of the work day behind him, Sean came home to a house that smelled wonderful. The aroma of cooking steak filled the air with garlic, rosemary, thyme, and something he couldn't quite place...potatoes, perhaps? He couldn't tell, but whatever it was, all the scents together combined to make their home smell amazing. He set down his bags, brought his lunch bag to be cleaned, ice packs put away, then set aside to be filled again tomorrow. As he entered the kitchen, Sean saw two steaks just finishing up in a cast-iron skillet, with green beans, and mashed potatoes on the side (it was potatoes). Salads were already made and chilling on the table with sparkling water poured into glasses.
He snuck up behind his wife and kissed her on the cheek and helped finish preparations for their meal.
"Hey there, my love! How was your day?" Sean helped get the salad dressings and other condiments on the table as well as plates, silverware and napkins.
"Oh, you know, the usual: sleeping until about nine o'clock, my daily walk slash jog through the neighborhood, getting scared of a spider, some grocery shopping, and then making dinner." She served the food and put the dishes back in the kitchen. "I read some of my book. Oh! You wouldn't believe what happened to the dragon..." Jessica launched into a spirited recap of some interesting things that happened in her latest book. Sean listened actively and followed along. He wasn't sure if he would have liked the book as much if anyone but Jessica told him about it. Her enthusiasm for the things she loved was one of his favorite things about his pink-haired wife.
Sean summarized his day as Jessica listened intently back. He left out any details about The App and what he'd done to his coworker, but the changes he made had certainly affected all of reality. Jessica knew that his coworker's name was Maya like he'd been talking about her forever. It was something he was still getting used to and it threw him off a bit.
After the dishes had all been done and the kitchen cleaned up, Sean went to his corner of the sectional, settled himself into comfort and began browsing things on his phone. Jessica settled into her spot cuddled up next to him to continue where she'd left off in her book. This went on for about forty-five minutes before Sean felt his phone vibrated softly in his hands and, instinctively, he swiped to check the notification. It was The App.
"Jessica McNamara has natural blonde hair." This time, the timer read thirty seconds.
He gasped and watched as the timer ticked down. Sean loved his wife's natural blonde hair. He didn't want to change it for anything...but as the timer ticked down towards zero, getting closer and closer with every beat of his heart...he had to make a decision. Quickly, he typed the first thing that came to his head and hit submit. As he looked down at the top of Jessica's head...nothing changed. Her hair was still pink. It wasn't brunette hair with pink coloring, nor was it raven dark, with pink highlights.
No. "Jessica McNamara has natural pink hair."
She had pink hair from her roots to her tips, and as Jessica looked up at him, reacting to his gasp only a moment ago, Sean noticed that her hair was pink...her natural hair color was pink. Jessica asked, "What's up, babe? Everything OK?" As he looked down on her face he could see the changes clearly. Her hair was pink. Not just the soft pixie cut she had, but her eyebrows and eyelashes too.
Sean mumbled and nodded with a harried expression, he coughed and chuckled trying to bleed off the tension in his voice. "Sorry, babe...Derek sent me a jump scare and he got me." Jessica rolled her eyes and shrugged, too engrossed with the story she was reading. "I need to use the bathroom, I'll be right back." Sean waited for Jessica to let him up before he got up, phone in-hand, to head to their small downstairs bathroom. As he walked by their wall of photographs, Sean noticed that every picture of his wife showed her naturally pink hair. Even when she'd had it down to the middle of her back in their twenties, it was still that same, perfect, soft pink hue.
Once in the bathroom, Sean sat on the lid of the toilet, and began to hyperventilate. He had to **** himself to slow his breathing or the tunneled vision was going to swallow him up. Big gulps of air followed by splashes of cold water on his face helped him to calm down as he clamored to accept this new reality: he had altered physics beyond reason. He'd given his wife, his beloved Jessica pink hair...naturally pink hair. After several minutes of trying to adjust, Sean realized the only way to get past this, was through it.
He dried off his face, practiced a normal expression despite his worries, and then went to head back to the couch. He settled back in and just relaxed, realizing that his wife was still the same. She still laughed the same, and her smile was still the same...just with pink hair. Sean played with it, which distracted Jessica from her book and she cooed softly as he ran his fingers up and down her scalp. After a few minutes of this, Jessica sighed and smiled up to him, giving him a kiss on the lips. "I need to take a shower...but I wouldn't say no to you playing with my hair again once I'm done...OK?"
Sean nodded and smiled down to her, giving her a peck on the nose and then one on the lips. "Don't take too long. I want my own cuddles when we get to bed." Jessica laughed and nodded, sneaking in one last kiss before she headed upstairs to the shower.
Not long after, Sean locked the house up for the night and headed up to the bedroom. He got into his shorts and a t-shirt, and then settled into bed...still reeling a bit from the change he'd been rushed to make. Just as he heard the shower turn off, Sean's phone pinged again. A sound that was becoming a bit of an anxiety attack for him. Of course, it was The App again. Loading it up, Sean looked at the offered change, and then sighed in relief as he saw there was no timer. The phrase was a bit different than usual, but he decided he might be OK with this one, "Jessica McNamara is thirty-seven years old."
This one was almost a no brainer. He could just change the seven to a six, or an eight, and he'd be just fine. They were already a little over eight years apart, but an extra year, or one less wouldn't hurt. With a smile and a bit of confidence, he typed, "thirty-six" into the editor, then hit enter. An error popped up, "WARNING!!! NOT ENOUGH CHANGE CALCULATED TO SUBJECT! MUST HAVE AT LEAST A SIXTY PERCENT CHANGE FROM ORIGINAL TO NEW VERSIONS!" When he cleared the error after reading it a few times, he noticed a timer had been loaded in. This time it was counting down and was already at one minute and eight seconds.
Sean almost swore out loud. Only his desire not to reveal The App kept him from being any louder than a whisper. He did some quick math in his head (the "perks" of working with numbers all day) and sighed. He'd either need to make his wife nearly sixty, or back into her twenties. With only twenty seconds remaining Sean typed the change and hoped for the best. He didn't want The App to pick for him. He entered his change, "Jessica McNamara is twenty-two years old," then entered his change.
The exact moment he did that the bathroom door opened up, steam billowed out into their bedroom, and Jessica McNamara stepped into the light. Gone was her pixie-cut. He long, wavy hair, still a soft pink, was just being wrapped up into a towel...otherwise she was naked.
Sean's breath caught in his throat and he gazed in wide wonder at the stunning woman standing before him. Aside from the pink hair peeking out from under the towel atop her head, this was the Jessica he'd fallen in love with...or rather the age she was when they met and fell in love. He happily noted that the ring on her finger was the same one he'd originally given her on their wedding day bonded with the original engagement ring he'd given her. The difference between thirty-seven and twenty-two was drastic. Sagging, laugh-lines, wrinkles, callouses, scars, and all sorts of other things were simply gone. He could see a youthful glow on her smooth, still wet skin. Her eyes were bright, her smile beautiful, and her body in...well in much better shape overall. She still had her nice, wide hips, thick-ish thighs, and her nice, large breasts. He noticed the "healthy" change he had made earlier in her slim waist, flatter tummy, and overall more fit look. He also happily noted that she'd left a small tuft of pink hair above her slit. Her breasts which had been sagging after fifteen years of gravity, were perkier and sat back up on her torso. As she turned to go into the closet for some pajamas, Sean could tell that Jessica...well, this Jessica must have spent a lot of time doing squats. Her ass was a work of art.
By the time his goddess of a wife had come back into the bedroom, Sean was rock hard, and not even ashamed to show it. When Jessica noticed his reaction to her exit from the shower, a mischievous gleam popped into her eyes and she abandoned any attempts to get dressed and crawled onto the bed and then onto her husband.
