He Follows The Newcomer

The girl soon became forgotten as another seemed to draw his attention.

She didn’t walk with purpose, or determined direction. She meandered almost aimlessly, stopping to gaze at houses intently and seemingly even to sniff the air or reach out and feel the air around her..

Watching her the gargoyle found its focus drawn ever more intensely, each set of steps one way leading to a short pause and even more steps forwards, or even backwards towards his protectorate.

Her auburn hair glinted from the nearby streetlights, her steps seeming to even weave her around their spotlights of intensity as if she herself was trying to cling to the dark. Her attire could have you mistaking her for a jogger, yoga shorts reaching half way down her thighs, her midriff heavily exposed from the crest of her hand hold hips to just under her generous C cups.

As she finally seemed to reduce her walking back and forth she stood before the lurking guardian’s ward, looking long and slowly back and forth before she stared up into the darkened home, before sitting to stretch upon the front lawn. Pauses periodically interupting the stretching to stare into the shadows of ever yard around.

The beast could feel his sexual hunger growing, the only thing holding him back from action being the perverted first instinct in the core of his being. The need to protect his family.

Laying low to the roof he watched the slow awkward stretches give way to pressing against the dew laden lawn, sniffing, even lapping at the grass before the suspicious acting woman suddenly seemed to rush up against the shadow of the house.

Pivoting his ears the beast shuffled along the silently roof, listening to keep track of the out of sight form as he positioned to strike, torn between a quick silent killing blow, and finding out just why she was here.

Pausing he contemplated his options as the slender silhouette stepped away from the house slowly, investigating the yard with eyes scanning for any further witnesses in the darkened neighbouring houses.
