Jenna spots Tonya

Through the rest of the day, Jenna kept an eye on John as he moved in similar circles as she did, though it was more than obvious that he had become even more popular now that the rock had made its changes to him. He had always been one of the more outgoing people back in the old timeline but here, now, he was even more so. Not only was he always walking down the halls with members of the basketball team, he was seen eating with the popular members of the student government during lunch and during passing, he was always surrounded by both popular jocks as well as the socially awkward crowd (aka nerds).

"Damn, how that boy moves in between groups like that and still keeps his rep, I'll never understand," Tabitha, one of the cheerleaders on the squad, pointed out as they walked a few paces behind him heading towards the gym.

Jenna nodded and looked backwards as a trio of girls walked down past them and the middle girl, a tall buxom black girl she recognized almost immediately as a younger version of Tonya, called out for John. "Babe!"

He turned around and flashed a smile that caused the cheerleaders, Jenna included, to blush slightly as he warmly hugged his girlfriend. The school tended to frown on open PDA but a hug wasn't technically violating it. The fact that he then slipped a hand around her waist and pulled her close to him, her hand running on his chest...well, that was another story.

"Can you believe it? She's been crushing on him for years and he asked her out last year," Tabitha gossiped and Jenna felt something inside of her boiling over, the rock suddenly weighing on her mind.
