Jenn's Stylist has a few ideas
Jenn pushed open the glass doors of Aurelia Boutique, fully prepared to fake wealth for at least twenty minutes.
She had no business being in this store. She knew it. The store knew it. But she had convinced herself that today was the day she would upgrade her life. Maybe buy one classy outfit. Something that said mature elegance instead of Target.
She walked forward with the false confidence of someone who absolutely belonged here, even though her sneakers squeaked loudly on the polished floor with every step, like a clown honking through Versailles.
“Hi there! Welcome!” chirped a cheerful voice.
Jenn turned and was immediately greeted by a woman who could only be described as professionally immaculate. Early twenties. Turquoise eyeshadow that somehow worked. Perfect sleek ponytail.
Name tag: VALERIE — Style Consultant.
Jenn smiled back with the panic of someone caught trespassing.
“Hi! Just looking.”
“No problem at all,” Valerie said, gliding closer like a friendly fashion swan. “Is there anything specific you’re shopping for today?”
“Uh… something nice?” Jenn said brilliantly.
Valerie nodded like this was a perfectly reasonable request. “Great! Do you prefer warm tones, cool tones, fitted silhouettes, draped, structured, playful...”
