Chapter 4
by Cantalope
What greets you?
Jeering crowds
The noise was impressive, considering the barriers prevented all civilians from coming within 100 feet of them. Roughly a thousand people were immediately visible from where you stand and you unconsciously file away their faces. Song is obviously uncomfortable and she glances at you with worry. Playing up the naive ambassador you try to look surprised (well, as surprised as a slug-shaped blob of slime is capable) and then sink into yourself slightly in mock-despair.
"I DID NOT THINK IT WOULD BE SO BAD..."
Song looks at you with sympathy, touched with sorrow, and she starts to reach out to you before hesitating and then dropping her arm as she looks away. You give no indication that you can in fact see out the back of your "head" and slide dejectedly down the ramp across the clean metal that has been laid out to the vehicle. You didn't need it, you would do just fine on the dusty streets, but they didn't need to know that. The more **** you seemed, the more they would fight back.
As you near the modified limousine you start to pick out bits of what the people are jeering.
"Get the fuck off our planet you ball of snot!"
"You don't look so tough! Get over here and earth'll give you a rematch!"
"Slug-Slut!!"
That last one had been directed at Song and she winced as a group started chanting it, maintaining her posture but increasing her pace to reach the limo ahead of you. You took your time, enjoying all that vibrant energy beyond the barricade. Human law enforcement, as well as your own security detail patrolled the barricade, breaking up any attempted ladders or battering rams. The makeshift walls were tall, tall enough that humans in a mob would have difficulty throwing over them, but you watched in satisfaction as many tried. One particularly vehement youth managed to get a brick over the wall, where it shattered loudly some 50 feet away. Milking it for everything it was worth, you exaggerate spinning around and looking for the noise with a close approximation of human fear. The reaction was perfect, laughter broke out as the jeering increased in volume.
"Sir!"
You reluctantly turn back to the limousine where Song waited nervously, oozing up the ramp and onto the metal floor that had been installed for you in the back of the vehicle. The chauffeur promptly folded up the ramp, closed the door, and ran to start the car. Human's didn't like to stand against the majority, particularly if it was angry. Song collapsed back against her seat, running shaky hands through her hair. Poor girl. You'd have to give her a reward for this one.
The Council?

Bored Alien Conquers Earth
You are a Tharn, part of an advanced alien race- well... not really. Your "race" is a sentient ball of slime that was able to take over the minds of an advanced alien race and you've been using them to take over the galaxy. Unfortunately, that takes a really long time to do. You're bored out of your mind until you find a pleasant little planet populated by a most entertaining race of primitives. Earth. (All pictures are more of a suggestion than how a character or scene actually looks.)
