Chapter 5

The Council?
The drive.
You carefully observe Song: the stress hormones saturating her blood, the increased electromagnetic field coming off her brain, the slight tremor in her hands. So much emotion from only one individual, it made your mind sing with pleasure. Pretending to just notice her predicament, you slip closer to Song's seat, oozing up on the bench with her.
"YOU ARE ILL?", You ask concernedly.
Looking up from her hands she flashes you a strained smile, "No Sir, it's just a little overwhelming to have so much anger directed at you."
"YOU ARE FRIGHTENED?"
"A little, but it's a normal human reaction Sir. Fear is difficult to overcome."
"PERHAPS WE SHOULD LINK SO THAT I MAY CALM YOU. WE DO NOT WANT YOUR FEAR GETTING IN THE WAY OF THE PROCEEDINGS."
Her eyes widened and she shifted apprehensively, even as a warm blush spread over her skin.
"I...don't know if that's such a good idea Sir..." You know her professional mind is warring with her implanted desires. She knows that getting involved with her alien overlord is a terrible idea, that her feelings are wrong and she shouldn't act on them. If not for professionalism then for humanity itself. Ever since you "converted" her, making her more open to serving you, you had been aware of her rational mind slowly rejecting your precepts. Not in some deep neurological way, just beginning to question her beliefs and growing increasingly more disgusted with herself and her allegiance to you.
On the other hand, she felt a warm rush whenever she saw you. Ever since the first (and only) link you had made with her she had wanted nothing more than to do it again, to open herself up to you in every way. Linking with humans usually meant entering one of their cranial orifices to commune with the central nervous system, with her you had gone in through her ear in the least intrusive way possible. The experience had left her feeling dirty (and invaded) but...part of something so much greater than herself. She had pledged her allegiance and worked happily to improve your relations with earth for months but after a certain amount of hate-mail and reports of **** and rioting she had started to question her place in all of it.
You didn't want it to progress too much further: as entertaining it would be for her to join the rebels you wanted her with you by your side. She had a certain...flavor to her thoughts, her actions, her presence that you enjoyed too much to let her go. You sidled a little closer, attempting to lower you voice to a more intimate level as you reason with her.
"IT WOULD BE FOR THE GOOD OF OUR WORK...YOU NEED TO BE AT YOUR BEST."
Does she conscent?

Bored Alien Conquers Earth
You are a Tharn, part of an advanced alien race- well... not really. Your "race" is a sentient ball of slime that was able to take over the minds of an advanced alien race and you've been using them to take over the galaxy. Unfortunately, that takes a really long time to do. You're bored out of your mind until you find a pleasant little planet populated by a most entertaining race of primitives. Earth. (All pictures are more of a suggestion than how a character or scene actually looks.)
