Okay, Jed decided, the coins had definitely added Paula a little too much. So, he needed to think over what to do about all this. Putting together what he'd seen from both coins, he tried to consider what they did. It looked like Paula had been relaxing all day, not doing any chores, and her coin had taken that and made her into a slob. But he still remembered the way she'd been before, and after checking quickly with Dominique, she did as well. So, the gold coin changed people based on how they were acting, but they couldn't change any one else's memories.

On the other hand, the coin he'd had all day, the silver one, had been triggered by words instead of actions. And those words had not only instantly changed Dominic into Dominique, physically and mentally, but only her and Jed remembered who she'd used to be, with everyone else seeming to just know her as her new self. So, this coin was easier to use, that was sure, but how would it do for counteracting what had been done to Paula? After all, if it changed how she'd been all along, would it be possible to undo the gold coin's change? With that idea in mind, Jed realized he specifically needed to word it where this situation never would have happened.
