Jazmine´s punishment

“Yes! You do get it, don’t you?” Jazmine pleaded, walking as slowly as she could. “So how about you whisper at the doll that I no longer have to go out, and we can let bygones be bygones.”

“Huh, so that’s all you need to do to hypnotize the dolls? Whisper at them? I thought there was a technique or tone of voice or something you needed to do first.”

“Y-yes, it’s that easy. P-please, hurry! I don’t want to have to streak again.”

“No. I don’t think I will do anything.”

“P-please, I’ll pay you half my fortune! I’ll-“

“We said no, so scram.”

I flicked my finger at the doll behind. Jazmine jumped out of the door, grabbing her rainbow-colored ass. Bathed by the lights of the streetlamps, she looked like a human disco ball with the glitter reflecting the light. That will make it harder to avoid attention. I wonder if she will have a unique # on social media for her stunt?

“Ok, let’s wrap this up. Annie, can you bring me the Pamela and Dhalia dolls, please? I think everyone needs to hear this.”

“Sure thing, boss.”

The three dolls were propped atop a shelf. I crouched down and began to whisper at all of them. “All right, let’s make sure this doesn’t happen again. Neither of you will ever use Voodoo, hypnotism, mesmerism, Voodooism, or any other esoteric rituals on unwilling participants or to coerce people into doing things against their will.”

“You two will not buy more clothes for at least a week so that you know what Jazmine felt like,” Annie whispered at the couple’s dolls. Damn, the girl got a vindictive streak, as if streaking around town wasn’t enough. Maybe Jazmine’s story hit a nerve I didn’t know she had?

“And finally, Jazmine, you are going to return all the money you scammed out of people with your voodooism. Then you are going surrender yourself to us and obey anything our clients ask you to do. Understand?”

“I don’t think dolls can reply, boss.”

“…It’s a matter of speech. Welp, I think that ties up all the loose ends.”

“Great, now let’s get rid of these dolls.”
