January Weekend 1: Leah and Jonathan hang out (Suspicion: -5)

Leah let Jonathan sleep in and when he was finally roused, she asked him about that local market thing he had mentioned before. He was glad she took him up on the offer. He figured Leah would want to do something fun and local like that. Once they got ready Leah and Jonathan spent that Saturday at the local art festival which was a mix of local markets nestled within the historic streets of Pleasant Plains. It was a lively gathering, bursting with colors and creativity from every corner. Leah marveled at the playful art booths and the charming smell of fresh food vendors. She couldn't help but feel a sense of delight as Jonathan's enthusiastic nature kicked in, his eyes lighting up behind his glasses at a particularly geeky Star Wars-themed sculpture. They'd walked hand in hand, laughing and sharing guilty grins over a shared liking of the more perverse artwork on display. They sampled local bites, spicy street tacos and sweet artisan chocolates, every taste bringing them closer together. Leah felt any lingering distance between them melt away, their connection growing stronger with every shared moment and inside joke. On their way home, with a painting they had picked out tucked snugly under Leah's arm, they dreamed aloud about the marriage and life that lay ahead.

After their dinner had settled, Jonathan slyly moved next to Leah on the couch.

“How about some dessert?” he asked with an overly dramatic grin.

He wasn’t talking about icecream.
