January Staff Meeting: Leah plays it nice.

Leah smiled politely at Mrs. Clemens, trying to ignore the hint of hostility in her voice.

"I'm doing well, thanks for asking," she replied calmly.

Mrs. Clemens gave a small nod before turning back to Daniel.

"So, how was your break? Did you do anything fun?" she asked, her tone more flirtatious now.

"Nothing too exciting, just spent time with family," he replied before turning back to Mrs. Clemens. "How about you?"

Mrs. Clemens put her hand on Daniel's forearm and launched into a story about her extravagant holiday vacation while Leah listened politely. But as the meeting started, Leah couldn't help but notice the subtle competition between herself and Mrs. Clemens for Daniel's attention.

As the meeting dragged on, Leah found herself feeling annoyed by Mrs. Clemens' constant attempts to one-up her and flirt with Daniel. Part of her wanted to join in and compete for his attention but another part of her felt it was childish and unprofessional.

As soon as the meeting ended, Leah made a quick escape back to her room to get some work done.
