January Staff Meeting: Leah is catty.

Leah rolled her eyes as Mrs. Clemens inserted herself into the conversation. She knew that Mrs. Clemens had seemed threatened by her in some way. And she was always overly friendly toward Daniel. But how could she not be--he was friendly and handsome.

"I'm doing well, thanks for asking," Leah replied curtly, sending a pointed look in Mrs. Clemens' direction.

Mrs. Clemens gave a fake laugh and turned to Daniel, batting her eyelashes.

"So, Daniel, did you have a good break?" she asked, clearly trying to flirt with him placing a hand on his arm. "I'm sure you had a much more interesting break than what I had." she said, giving him a flirtatious smile.

"Speaking of interesting breaks, how is your husband...and family doing?" Leah asked in a catty tone. Mrs. Clemens' smile faltered for a moment before plastering back on.

"Oh, he's doing wonderfully," she replied through gritted teeth. Leah couldn't help but feel satisfied by the slight edge in Mrs. Clemens' voice. She knew that Mrs. Clemens was always flirting over the top with Daniel and she couldn't help but feel slightly annoyed by it. As the meeting started and Mr. Howard began his usual droning, Leah tried her best to tune it out and focus on going through her email. But the constant giggling and flirting from Mrs. Clemens was making it impossible for her to concentrate.

After the meeting ended, Leah quickly made an excuse to leave the table before Mrs. Clemens could try to strike up a conversation with her.
