Janice: Casually, huh? I’m pretty busy.

John: Of course. I just figured someone with your standards would explain things… properly.

Janice: My standards?

John: Well, you know, you're top of the class.

Janice: Yeah, and I worked for it. One day, though. But why should I accept to tutor you, though? You're cute but you don't look like the smart type. Are you sure you are meant for college and not something else ?

John: I mean, look, I’m managing, technically. It’s just… I’m one bad test away from things getting complicated, and I really don’t want to disappoint Ms. Ren. You’re my smartest option. Totally fine if the answer’s no. I just thought I should at least try.
