Janice, a third-year student going to Italy

Janice was excited to visit Italy with the college's partnership with the University of Bologna - the first university in the western world! Her family included several faculty members, and she was ecstatic when she was accepted into the college's program.

Janice slept through her 12-hour flight across the continent and ocean to Rome, where she touched down in sunny weather. Stretching herself as she got out of the plane and texted her family of her safe landing, she walked through the airport to baggage claim, and waited for her bag to show up... and waited some more... and waited some more...

Eventually, it became obvious her bag had gotten lost. She walked over to the airline help desk, and yep, it had been rerouted to India! And it wouldn't be back for another couple days!

Janice groaned and left the airport, hailing a cab to bring her to her hotel for the night. She was grateful for the weather, but wasn't a huge fan of being stranded in a foreign country with only the clothes on her back and her purse.
