Jan. Week 3: A Long Weekend-Sunday

It was Sunday morning and Leah’s morning brain was soon thinking about how the day would go. She knew much of the day would be sapped with their typical "Sunday Reset" of getting groceries, cleaning, folding laundry, and preparing for the week ahead. Of course, she had Monday off but even still she knew that it would be best to spend the bulk of the day in the typical routine of getting ready for the week ahead.

She debated, as she always did on weekends, how best to spend her time off. The never-ending to-do list for school tugged at her conscience. There were lesson plans to finalize, quizzes to grade, a bulletin board and so much she’d promised herself to update.

Some time to relax also sounded really good too. Just some recovery time and the hip trend to call doing absolutely nothing “self-care.”

She also considered how she could build a tighter relationship with Jonathan by spending the day with him. She had lots of options.
