Jamie doesn't realize that he is on a date (by Vanilla Thunder)

"Nice to meet you as well." Jamie said.

Jamie reached his hand out to shake Mark's, but he realized the dress was slightly restrictive and involuntarily turned his hand. Mark instead took his hand into his, much like a man would take a woman's, but Jamie was too focused on the way he was dressed to even consider the implication. Mark was nice to not bring it up.

The waiter returned with a bottle of house wine.

"Wine, sir?" the waiter asked Mark.

"Yes, please." Mark replied.

The waiter started to pour wine into the glass in front of Jamie, then Mark's.

"Please, no need to wait for me." Mark said, motioning to the glass.

"Thanks." you said. "You would not believe the day I've had, but I'm glad I made it here."

"I'm glad you made it too." Mark replied.

The waiter set menus down in front of the two of them, and then walked away.

"I hear their steak is amazing." Mark said as he started reading the menu.

Jamie's stomach started rumbling. He couldn't impose on this guy, he was waiting for his date. And after he was so gracious as to offer him some wine...

"Aren't you going to check the menu? It's a date, so it's on me, remember?" Mark said.

"Well, if you insist." Jamie picked up the menu and started reading it.
