Jake picks Abbie up on Friday morning

At 7:55am on Friday, Jake pulled up to the curb outside Abbie's house. He took a minute to just look at the house. He knew Abbie at work, obviously, and had interacted with her in a few other locations, but seeing her actual house set him mind racing. Abbie's house was a small, two-story house in a quiet neighborhood. It was painted white with black shutters, and it had a small front porch with a swing. The yard was well-kept, with a flower garden in the front and a vegetable garden in the back.

But ... what was it like inside? What was her bedroom like? What did she look like asleep? Although he was satisfied beyond his wildest dreams with what he actually had with Abbie, there were aspects of her that he didn't know. He found those mysteries a strange kind of intimate, but one he wasn't part of.

To be clear, he didn't feel badly about it, maybe only a little envious that there was a world that knew things he didn't. This thought was quickly interrupted as Abbie came out the front door of the house.

She was wearing a blue crop top that showed off her toned stomach. The crop top was made of a soft, breathable fabric that hugged her curves perfectly. Over the crop top, she was wearing a thin white linen shirt that was tied at the waist. The shirt was loose and flowing, and it fluttered in the breeze. She was wearing tan shorts that were a little bit too short, but they showed off her legs in a way that made Abbie feel sexy (and made Jake's heart race even faster). She sported cute sunglasses and a pair of simple sandals in anticipation of outdoor adventure.

Abbie looked stunning in her outfit. She was confident and beautiful, and Jake couldn't take his eyes off of her. He could feel his heart pounding in his chest, and he knew that he was in trouble. He already found the work version of Abbie incredibly hot, and vacation Abbie was even hotter.

"I have some luggage. Could you give me a hand?"

"Of course!" Jake stepped into the front hallway and looked around. He didn't have any idea what he imagined Abbie's house might be like, and seeing this was like seeing a foreign universe.

"I already brought my stuff down, I just need to get it out to the car," she said. There were two suitcases and two garment bags. They each carried one of each, and only needed the one trip to get back to Jake's car.

Jake had rented a silver convertible. The car was comfortable and spacious, with plenty of room for Jake and Abbie to stretch out and relax. The car was also powerful and agile, making it perfect for cruising down the open road. It had plenty of room for everything, and spending a sunny weekend with a convertible just sounded exciting to him.

Abbie's eyes widened as she approached the shiny silver convertible parked in front of her house, the sunlight bouncing off its sleek exterior. It stood out among the practical cars in Abbie's neighborhood, radiating sophistication with its polished body and sporty lines. "Nice wheels!" Abbie exclaimed, a glint of excitement brightening her big blue eyes as she admired the luxurious car. "This can't be yours, right?" she quipped, playfulness lacing her voice.

A slight grin curved on Jake's lips as he casually leaned against the car, his hazel eyes sparkling with a hint of pride at Abbie's reaction. "You give me too much credit," he teased, savoring her surprise.

Arching an eyebrow, Abbie recalled their earlier chat about renting a car for their upcoming trip. "You said you'd rent one!" she pointed out with a grin.

Jake nodded in agreement, his demeanor easy yet subtly pleased by Abbie's evident joy. "Thought it suited our getaway vibe perfectly, don't you think?" he remarked, anticipation coloring his words for the adventure ahead and a touch of contentment at having pleased Abbie with his choice.

"I do!" They loaded Abbie's stuff into the back, and climbed into the two front seats. Jake hooked up his phone to the dash system to get the GPS up and running. The screen showed just over two hours to their destination. They decided to swing past a drive-through to get some coffee and breakfast sandwiches, and then they'd be on their way.
