Jake heads to the Beach

There's no better place to search for relief on a hot summer day, perhaps, than a beach. If it's a breezy day, with the winds coming in off the ocean, it can be much more pleasant than one might expect. Which is why Jake found himself on the beach that day. It was not a private beach, but it wasn't often over populated either. The location made it easily accessible to locals who knew about it, but was far enough from bigger roads that not many bothered to make the trip out. Locals dotted the beach that day, spread out along the stretch of sand so no one was overly social without putting some effort into it. Many of them appeared as though they lived nearby, as they sometimes walked between their towels and their houses further back in the dune.
