What's next?
Jake calls it a night, but Abbie and Michelle want to hang out longer
"I'm doing great, how about you?" Michelle asked, her words blurring together a bit. "But I think I might be drunk."
Abbie laughed, but as she did, she felt some of Jake's come dripping out of her. "I think you might be. And I think I might need a napkin."
Jake laughed. "Here." He grabbed one from the bar and handed it to Abbie. She tried to clean some of what was dripping, but all without drawing too much attention to it.
"You want another drink?" said Michelle. "I can try to keep up. Hey, barkeep!"
Tyler glanced over to Michelle. "One second, Michelle!"
Jake squeezed Abbie's shoulder. "I think I'm done for the night. But if you two want to keep hanging out, you should absolutely do that."
"What do you think, Abbie? Want to stay with me for another round?"
"No question, Michelle. I'm here for it." Abbie was feeling a little worn out by the intense bar action just now, but she could always find a second wind and keep the party going.
Michelle looked back at Jake. "Oh, are you sad because I'm taking your girl from you? Come on, you two lovebirds have had all day together. Now off you go, Jake -- I'll take good care of Abbie tonight, don't you worry."
Abbie leaned up and gave Jake a kiss. "I'm sure I'll be up before too long."
Jake touched her shoulder again, then turned to Michelle. "Good night, nice meeting you." He gave one last look to Abbie, then turned and left the bar.
