Jake returns with beverages

Jake returned to find Abbie right where he left her -- laying back on a deck chair, collecting the sunshine.

"I got you a piƱa colada. No idea if you like those."

"I do!" Abbie sat up and took a sip. "Mmm, it's good, too. Thank you!"

"Got myself one as well, and I think maybe I've never had one before." He drank a bit, and put it on the table next to the chairs. "You might get two drinks out of this. I don't think the coconut thing is for me."

Abbie laughed. "Maybe it's an acquired taste."

"The sun is pretty fierce today," Jake said. "This drink is cold, which is great, but I think I might need to get into the water. You want to go for a swim?"

"Sure!" agreed Abbie. They both kicked off their flip flops, and Jake shed his outer shirt. Abbie led the way down to the water, and tested the temperature with her foot. "Wow, I think it feels great. It's not too hot, should be refreshing!"

Jake took her word for it, and lowered himself into the water. Immediately, he stared back up at Abbie. "What the fuck?! This is freezing!"

Abbie cackled. "Come on, it's great!"

"You're up there, and I'm down here. Why don't you get in, if it's so comfortable?"

"Sure thing." She sat on the edge of the pool, and then slid straight into the water. She went under the surface, and a few moments later, re-emerged, flipping her hair behind her. "Perfect temperature." She smiled at him and splashed a little water in his face.

"Your tolerance for physical torment is something."

"You know it," Abbie replied. Jake smiled as he remembered how she tolerated some aggressive spanking earlier.

They swam around a bit, exploring the extremes of the pool. One end of the pool extended into a bit of a tunnel. There was a flimsy plastic chain in the tunnel, blocking access to whatever was beyond. Clearly it wasn't a substantial block, and Abbie and Jake looked at each other with a smirk.

"Should we see what's on the other side?" asked Jake.

"Yes we should!" agreed Abbie. It felt only mildly wrong to cross the barrier. Obviously someone at the hotel had the idea that patrons shouldn't go back there. "Maybe it's nothing at all," said Abbie. Or maybe it's deadly and dangerous! she thought to herself.

"I'm sure we'll be fine."

They glanced around to confirm that no one was paying them any attention, and easily swam under the chain and into the tunnel. The other side got a bit darker, and led to something of a grotto, decorated like a lagoon. The water was enclosed, there were colorful lights, and somehow, it felt like an escape from the chaos of the main deck. There was a larger pool in the grotto with seating built into it on one side, and there were lights under the seats giving the water a slightly eerie greenish-blue glow. On the deck behind the pool there was some nice patio-style furniture -- a chairs, tables, and a few sofas.
