Jade's story

Jade takes a pause sipping at her drink, looking into your eyes. You could drown in those eyes.

“With a major in electrical engineering I figured I would go and design some cool new chips. Turns out that wasn’t as easy as I thought. You know with being a girl, smart, pretty and an also an engineer. That was simply too much for some of the dickheads in charge.”

You share a laugh. It feels like you have done that a lot back when you were together. “And you beat them in the dick department. That must be the final nail in the coffin.”

Jade nearly spits her drink all over the table. “You are impossible V. You know that you first have to get a job to participate in the time honored tradition of comparing dick sizes.”

You grin, trying to imagine the shocked look on some corp execs face, when Jade whips out her delicious dick slapping it on the table.

“So with my dream of going into research on hold I ended up in security consulting. I worked for a small local company. That ended when we got hired to stress test the security at a local R&D facility of Biotechnica. Turns out our employer used the info we gave him to steal a prototype Biotechnica wasn’t pleased and they made their displeasure known by blowing up our office. I lucked out because I was stuck in traffic or I wouldn’t be sitting here. I nailed that fucker who tricked us. Hauled his ass back to Biotechnica and resold them their precious prototype. Most of the money I made I gave to the families of my colleagues. The rest I invested in a few upgrades. I have been doing freelance work since.”

“Speaking of upgrades. One of yours I had a quite intimate encounter with already. What else do you got?” You ask her.

Jade answers you with a smile and a wink. “Well aren’t you curious? Thanks to Biotechnica I have an upgraded muscles, which make me quite agile and flexible. It also makes me stronger than I look. My eyes are complete replacements by Zeiss, low light vision, infrared and ultraviolet vision, telescopic and microscopic vision, rangefinder, gunlink, flash compensation, changeable retinal pattern and iris color, the whole package. What else? Internal computer, nothing high end, but it’s enough for my purpose. For emergencies I have an adrenal pump, short term boost to strength, agility, speed and endurance. Quite useful, but you get a killer hangover once it’s done. The rest I think you know. So what’s new under your smooth caramel skin V.” She reaches out caressing your arm.

You ponder for a moment if it’s wise to come clean about your implants, but decide to be honest. “I got an internal computer, naturally. One of the fastest models Raven Microcybernetics has on sale. With that comes a fun bag of hacktools and internal data storage.” You raise your arm. “This one has enhanced strength, a small compartment, a single shot shotgun and this.” You activate the display in your hand. “It also doubles as flashlight and one use flash grenade. My eyes are still natural, but they are modified for Low Light, Infrared and Ultraviolet vision. I have skillwires and some skillsofts and a layer of bullet resistant micromesh under my skin.”

Her hands continues to caress your arm and comes to rest on your hand. ”Nice I feel nothing.”

“It’s pretty thin, but it helps.” You reply.

Her hand squeezes yours looking deep in your eyes. “I missed you. The day you left nearly broke my heart. I get why you did it, but still I was angry at you for a long time. Maybe I was envious too because didn’t get a great job offer. Seeing you tonight brought back a lot of memories, but ...”

You remember your last evening together, tears, a big fight, screams. It feels like a hand closing around your heart. Leaning over the table you seal her mouth with a kiss. Her lips melt against yours and your mind is on fire. How do they do that? How do they make you feel like that?

Breaking the kiss after a while you whisper. “I missed you to and leaving you was one of the hardest and probably dumbest things I ever did.”

You both are silent for a while. Finally Jade speaks. “I don’t think we can pretend the last four years didn’t happen. So where does that leave us?”

You think about it a bit before answering. “How about a clean slate. Let’s go out together, maybe work a few jobs together, see if we click like we used to and take it from there.”

Jade leans her head against yours. “Sound good to me. Not that we are I a relationship at this stage, but since we want to figure out if that is an option, we do it like we used to, open?”

“Let’s say we are open at the moment. We can always talk about changing that at any time we feel like it.”

“Yeah sure, two sluts like us going monogamous.” You both laugh. Jade kisses you again before continuing. “Let’s go meet this rockerboy and his girlfriend and fuck the shit out of them.”
