Jack turns away

Jack **** herself to turn her back to Miranda not daring to look behind her. But as she did, Miranda smirked. She could see Jack’s face burning red. She turned towards Jack and leaned in, careful not to get too close, but whispered in her ear. “I thought you said you were going to… smear the walls with me…”

“Shut up!” Jack snarled. “God…dammit… you can’t do this to me… you’re nothing but a stuck up ignorant bitch who feeds into the Illusive Man’s bullshit…”

Miranda faltered. She knew Jack was right… she couldn’t hide the fact that Cerberus stepped over the line with what they did to Jack… “I’m sorry…” Miranda said. “You are right about Cerberus. And when it comes time, I… I plan to leave…”

Jack turned to face Miranda. “Stop lying,” Jack said. “There’s no way you’re letting go of the Illusive Man’s dick. You’re practically in love with him.”

Miranda sighed. “You can’t deny that we need his resources. If we have any hope of surviving the collectors… but afterwards… I’m done. Done with Cerberus, done with the Illusive Man… I promise.”

“Why are you even telling me this, cheerleader?” Jack said. “A lot of words don’t do anything.”

“I just… I’m sorry about what Cerberus did to you… it’s inexcusable…” Miranda said.
