Jack returns

I smiled and nodded as Jack apologized for being late, trying to act normal even as my mind raced. I couldn't stop thinking about what had happened with Chloe just minutes ago in their bathroom, the feel of her body pressed against mine, her moans muffled against my lips.

Though a part of me felt guilty, I didn't regret it. The attraction between us was palpable, and I knew if I hadn't made a move, she would have. As Jack handed me a beer, I glanced over at Chloe, who was busy at the stove. Our eyes met for a brief moment before she quickly looked away, a faint blush coloring her cheeks. I wondered if she was thinking about the same thing I was.

We both knew we were playing a dangerous game here. If Jack ever found out what had happened between us, it would surely ruin their marriage and our budding friendship. Yet the temptation was too strong to resist. I could tell from the hungry look in Chloe's eyes earlier that one taste would not be enough for her. And I had to admit, now that I'd had her, the thought of letting her go was unbearable.

I tried to push those thoughts from my mind for now and focus on the present. Jack was telling me a story about the traffic jam, gesturing wildly with his free hand as he described the chaos. I nodded along, laughing in the right places, all while stealing glances at Chloe. Our secret hung in the air between us, both thrilling and treacherous. I wondered how long we could keep it hidden.
