JJ Gives Mindy Some Advice

JJ stepped away from the den entrance and paused for just a second, he could hear the mumblings from Kenny and Nicole, the pair sounded a little exhausted, and JJ could easily guess why. He let out a smirk and shook his head, Alright Ken; you did it, you fucked Nicole. I mean you did it right in the middle of the lodge but whatever, about time you did that. He thought with a small snicker. He headed back up the stairs catching Brian who was just walking out of the bathroom,

"Hey, man, so what'd they say? They down to party later tonight?" Brian asked curiously. Earlier, while returning from the pond, Brian put up the idea of having a little party tonight. Nothing crazy, obviously, since it would be just the six of them, but he thought some drinks and music with Anna might spark something to happen.

JJ shook his head, "Couldn't even ask them, Nicole said Kenny was "Busy" know what I mean?" JJ replied with a small toss of his eyes,

"Busy? No, uh-uh, no way those two are doing that right now. We just saw them in the den, they were making out, sure, but full on fucking..." JJ stared back at him, smirking slightly, "No way, did Kenny really dip into that already?" Brian laughed back in disbelief,

"I can't say for sure, but Nicole didn't want me disturbing, and I could hear the panting breaths man," JJ chuckled back,

"Damn, maybe next time I should bunk with Nikki," Brian joked as he stepped past JJ, "Guess we'll give them a few more minutes before asking,"

"Sounds like a plan, bud," JJ agreed as Brian slipped back into his room,

"JJ..." Mindy's voice sudden peeped out causing the jock to turn back, seeing his Asian friend standing right behind him,

"Mindy? What's up?" JJ asked back, his brow slightly raising,

"Can I talk to you for a second...please," Mindy begged, a nervous bounce in her step,

"Uh, yeah, sure," JJ nodded while opening his door, letting her walk into his room before shutting it behind him, "What's going on?"

"Is it true, what you said, did Kenny just have sex with Nicole?" Mindy quickly asked, her eyes almost full of fear,

"Uh...yeah? Why are you looking so freaked out right now?" JJ asked back in confused concern,

"Fuck," Mindy immediately whispered out, hanging her head for a moment. Her fists began to clench, and she bitterly shook her head, "God Damn it!" Mindy suddenly shouted out,

"Whoa, Mindy, relax," JJ quickly said as he put his hands up, "Just take a breath, why are you so pissed because of this,"

"Because that was supposed to be me, JJ!" Mindy barked back her breathing turning sharp and ragged, "I was supposed to be Kenny's first,"

JJ tilted his head, not understanding the actual scope of Mindy's crush on Kenny until this moment, "You...You're not just crushing on Ken, are you? You're looking at him like something more,"

"Of course I am!" Mindy cried out, tossing her hands up, "He's been everything to me for my whole fucking life JJ! My only friend when I was a kid, the only one who I could always depend on...the first and only guy I've ever even thought about." She whimpered out while burying her head in her hands,

"Fuck Mindy...shit, then why haven't you told him any of this?!" JJ asked while quickly moving to her side, helping her sit down while she continued to sniffle, "I always figured this was more of a...fling you wanted, I didn't think it was this intense."

"JJ, I missed my chance, Nicole's already done everything with him. She's got him wrapped around her finger; I can't compete with a girl like here. I tried...I kissed him today, but even then...he didn't-I knew he didn't feel what I felt,"

JJ narrowed his eyes in confusion, Kenny wasn't the type to bounce between to girls, if he kissed Mindy, really kissed her, he'd have been mixed up in the head. "You kissed? Like, you two shared a kiss, a real one?"

"Yeah?" Mindy shrugged back, "I told him I wanted to have my first kiss and asked him to be my first. He agreed, and I kissed him, but he broke it off after only a few seconds."

"Then...." JJ asked expectantly,

"Then?" Mindy asked back,

"Mindy," JJ sighed in some irritation, "You didn't feel the need to tell him why you wanted him to kiss you?"

"I told him it's because I trusted him," Mindy meekly replied,

JJ shook his head, "Mindy, I'm gonna give you this advice again, only this time listen to me. You need to tell Kenny how you feel. And if you don't, then you are just letting Nicole have him. Okay?" JJ slowly said causing Mindy to gulp nervously,

"I-I know," She agreed, "A-And if he kissed me, then he must like me somehow,"

"I wouldn't doubt it, you and Kenny are already so close, it'd make sense to move forward." JJ nodded, "Tell you what, we're all hanging out tonight, partying and drinking for a bit, maybe you should try and catch him alone and just lay it out."

"O-Okay," Mindy said before taking a slow breath, "Okay," She said more confidently, "I'm gonna tell him everything,"

"Good, about damn time," JJ joked while giving her a reassuring pat on the back,
