JIGGLYPUFF!?!?

I picked Peach again and he chose Jigglypuff. I couldn’t believe he changed characters again. And to Jigglypuff of all characters. From what I remembered back in school, Jigglypuff was a bit of a joke character. No one played her seriously. For him to play her with one stock, it was almost as he if he wanted to lose.

“You’re really going to play Jigglypuff?” I asked in disbelief.

I just couldn’t believe he was so confident that he’d go one stock to my five with one of the worst characters in the game.

He laughed at me. The nerve.

“Wow, Jen, you know, I like your optimism, but maybe save the trash talking for another time. In case you forgot, you’re naked,” Josh taunted.

He didn't even hesitate to lock in Jigglypuff. When we went to stage select, I chose Hyrule.

I had to admit, Josh had a point. I was naked and my butt was stinging from the thrashing he had given me only moments ago. Maybe I should have quit while I was ahead, but I still had my pride. I was determined not to show any weakness. In a moment of complete idiocy, I kept up going with the trash talk. I’m not sure why I did it exactly. I guess there were a few contributing factors. One, I knew that Jigglypuff was one of the worst characters in the game, and two, at least on some level, I believed that if I could psych him out, he'd make a mistake. If he got frustrated for a moment and got caught in a combo, I reasoned that it would be enough for me to take a stock over the course of the match.
