Izuku’s secret meeting (vote chapter)

It was late in the day with the sun just about setting over Dagobah beach, leaving the beach mostly deserted and quite private. He found All Might and Gran Torino waiting for him, they however seemed solemn. Though when he noticed Izuku arrive a bright smile appeared on his face.

“Young Midoriya it’s wonderful to see you again.” He said pulling Izuku into a hug which Izuku returned.

“It feels like I haven’t seen you in ages.” Izuku replied happily.

“Likewise my boy, but things have been complicated. But I must know how is your training coming?” His mentor asked and Izuku beamed.

“It’s going great, I’m able to use 100% now. So Nana’s going to be moving towards combat training soon.” Izuku explained though he could swear he saw All Might’s gaunt smile crack. If it did it was for less than a second though.

“That’s wonderful my boy. I assume that means things are going well at school as well?” He asked, patting Izuku gently on the head.

“Um yeah.” Izuku gasped, finding his throat stuck for some reason.

“All well with Ren I hope. No sleeping around with other women I hope?” He joked though Izuku found his body going stiff.

“Heh…heh…HA HA HA.” He **** himself to laugh, but being no more a laugh than fingernails down a chalkboard.

“We’re going to need to work on your laugh my boy.” He said nervously, and Izuku nodded stiffly.

“Work on his laugh later Toshinori, there is much more important matters to discuss.” Gran Torino shouted, beating All Might over the head with his walking stick.

“Gran Torino, it’s good to see you.” Izuku said to which the old man just nodded.

“Good to see you’re alright kid, but right now we’ve got a problem. Of the All for One sort.” He replied gruffly, causing Izuku to stiffen.

“I thought he died in Tartarus, from a heart attack.” Izuku said, but Gran Torino scoffed.

“That was the story but I didn’t believe it for a second. That bastard would have some quirk to protect him. So I investigated, all the camera showed nothing useful but I had a feeling.” Torino explained, reaching into his pocket and pulling out some papers, “then the autopsy report came in.”

Gran Torino handed the papers to Izuku and pointed at a single line.

Quirk: Quirkless

“So the body was fake, and whoever did the switch forgot about the pinkie toes.” Izuku said.

“WHAT?!” Gran Torino yelled, “what in blazes gave you that idea.”

“Well when doctors diagnosed me as quirkless they showed me a X-Ray of my toe that had an extra toe joint. So I guessed if the corpse of All for One had a similar joint it meant-“

“There are other ways to get a quirk analysis kid, can even tell you what quirk he had. Plus the eggheads at the lab know a fake corpse even if a quirk was used.” Gran Torino said, “no All for One is dead, but he didn’t have his quirk.”

“So he gave it to someone before he died.” All Might said, “but how would they have gotten to him in the middle of Tartarus.”

“Even if they hacked the cameras they’d need the cooperation of every guard and criminal which seems impossible.” All Might said, but Izuku had an idea.

“Not necessarily.” He said, entering a stream of mumbling before Gran Torino hit him on the head again.

“You were saying kid.”

“Oh right well I was thinking that maybe it’s possible that someone with a mind control quirk was the one who entered Tartarus. That person could have mind controlled anyone they needed to keep silence.” Izuku suggested, causing the other two pro heroes to nod.

“That makes sense, but it would need to be a pretty powerful mind controller. Young Shinso couldn’t have done it.” All Might ruminated, “not to mention he’s no friend to All for One.”

“Who says All for One gave them his quirk willingly. Perhaps this individual mind controlled him into giving it to them.” Gran Torino suggested.

“Yeah it could be anyone. Especially if-“ Izuku felt as if a stone had dropped in his stomach. Ren had many quirks, she had admitted that they were similar.

But she had said it was coincidence. But she had lied about having it in the first place. She said she had a soul quirk, not mind control. But were those two quirks so different?

It couldn’t be, could it?

“What’s the matter Midoriya have you thought of someone?” All Might asked him, causing him to do something he’d never done before.

He lied to his hero.

“I was just thinking that we should tell Nana about this.” Izuku lied. Badly, at least as far as he felt.

“I don’t think that’s a good idea sonny, the Nana that’s returned isn’t like the one I knew.” Gran Torino replied sadly.

“What do you mean?”

“It’s little things, complicated things. Maybe the one for all resurrection fucked with her mind a bit.” He replied sadly, before brightening “and it’s none of your business boy. Why don’t you head back to school-“

“University.”

“-University then and leave this matter to a tired old pro like me. Just give us a call if you see something suspicious.” He said, and Izuku sensed that he might want to be left alone. As did he.

“Will do sir.” Izuku said walking back to the dorms of U.A., his mind awry with worry. It couldn’t be Ren, it just couldn’t be.

A/N: These chapters weren’t as good as I hoped I admit but I hope they will still be satisfactory. Added a few ideas to the voting list this time. Also I’m keeping harem daily life on here in case we want to revisit the idea someday
