Its not an easy choice

Tom and Sarah wend back home, and the entire time Tom had a lost and confused look on his face. Sarah noticed but didn't ask about it, yet. after all she knew there'd be an opportunity at some point. Tom spent the entire car ride home deep in thought. How was this possible, and what all changed? He also thought deeply on what he could change. He could change their entire history with one wish. But what would he wish? Tom though this coin might be like the monkey paw. One wrongly worded wish could get convoluted and end up in exactly the wrong way. After all Tom didn't want to stumble his way into ruining their lives.

"What can I do?" Tom mumbled to himself. Sarah had been waiting for an opportunity to get him to spill the beans and this was it.

"You've had a concerning look on you face ever since we left, is there a problem?" Sarah asked Tom. Tom knew one of the perks of having a wife is they seemed to be all knowing and always had the right answer.

Tom replied, "Well I have this problem with something I'm working on, one wrong move and the whole thing comes crashing down. If I do screw up i think it'll be irreparable."

"Well if there's only one chance to get it right, why make the choice on your own," Sarah said.

"the problem is I'm the one who has to make the final choice, and it's nerve racking. I don't want to screw up and make a problem that can't be fixed." said Tom.

"The best choice is always the one made with your heart. The unselfish one, the one that ends in happiness. So listen to your heart," Sarah said. She smile then gave a heart warming smile and a deep loving look and said, "Or you could follow my heart."

Tom let out a sigh, then smiled and replied, "I guess I'll follow your heart, after all your heart leads mine."

They arrived home shortly. Sarah gave Tom a few more words of encouragement and a quick peck on the cheek before heading in to shower. Tom headed to the couch in the living room still a little wary. He laid down on the couch with both hands lightly grasping onto the coin on his chest. He stared up at the ceiling lost in space, he was back to thinking. What would Sarah heart want? What would Sarah what? What would change us for the better? Before he knew it He drifted off to sleep.

Tom had a dream. One where their situations were reversed, Sarah had the coin and Tom was the subject. It was a dream of passionate love, with some slight benefits from wishes. This dream gave Tom an idea of what he wanted to wish for. He loved Sarah so he wanted to do something for her, so he decided he'd give Sarah a Wish.

He woke and found the sun barely peaking trough the blinds. It was morning, and a little earlier than he was used to. Tom Was still groggy but non the less he got up. as soon as he arose Tom took a deep breath tubbed his eyes. He found the coin still clutched in his hand, miraculously he didn't lose it in the couch last night.

Tom sighed took another deep breath and said, "Ohh I might as well get this over with," filled with anxiety Tom clutched the coin harder and said,"I wish Sarah Next wish would come true." as Tom said the wish the coin got warm in his hands, he knew it'd been done. now all that he wondered is what will Sarahs wish be?
