It would be nice to stay in the cool water for a little while longer, but is so busy people-watching doesn't notice the waves picking up.

Being in no particular rush to leave the cool waters, Jake wades back and forth a short distance. He occasionally squats down to wet his upper body and further cool off, but mostly he stays upright. Women sunbathing can be spotted every so often along the beach, most of them lying face down to tan their backs. A group of college students are playing one of those games where the guys have girls sitting on their shoulders, and the girls' hands are locked together in an attempt to unseat them, where they would then fall over into the water. Jake can see they are having fun, but they are far enough away that he can't actually hear the shriek as one of the girls topples over. Jake often daydreamed of a girl having a boob popping loose. Jake could feel his snake awaking a bit from reliving this idea.

Thinking that it was finally time to dry off, and he should get out before a camping tent appears in his brand new shorts or something worse happen. As he was wandering back Jake thought he should see if Sarah and her friends had any plans for the night, However, in all his people watching, he'd failed to notice that the waves were starting to pick up strength as the tide was starting to roll inland.

[Jake rushes to escape the waves, as he's not a big fan of them, but feels the sand pull out from under his feet. He's heard enough horror stories of people losing their clothes in strong undercurrents and is concerned.]

[Moving as quickly as possible, Jake narrowly avoids the waves and any potential of the waters stealing his shorts, even though he knows it sounds ridiculous. Free of the dangers, he will laugh at how silly he'd been.]
