It works, on both of them

Both girls' fears of a literal last-moment slip-up were put to rest, as they both found themselves unable to panic. Neither could move, and both could see the other not moving... success!?

Fiora flushed with embarrassment as much as her completely held person would allow. She was so focused on getting the spell itself right, she forgot to send it in Sandra's direction—which meant it just went over the general area instead, thus freezing herself too. For how quickly she recognized the mistake, it would be a frustratingly long time until she would be free of it... about an hour or two for the spell to wear off on its own.

Sandra, meanwhile, just smiled at Fiora, not by choice of course. She didn't recognize the mistake as quickly as Fiora herself, but after watching her do absolutely nothing for a minute or so, she started to work out that she probably didn't mean to freeze herself... at least there was nothing either of them could do to screw it up any further, right? That's what she was counting on. Though Fiora didn't mention how long it would take to wear off...
