Chapter 223 by robyna
How did the date go?
It was awkward
Matt wasn't exactly a music expert but he had always enjoyed classical guitar. So, he was excited to go on this date.
April looked hot in a crop top and silky pants. She gave Matt a quick kiss when she picked him up which was promising, he thought.
Her drove a small Mercedes which probably cost double his parents' combined salaries but she at least seemed capable as a driver. He didn't feel at risk once as she plunged form the Hill to the harbor area of Los Angeles.
The coffee shop didn't have a parking lot so they parked on the street. Matt rummaged through his pockets for change, only to see April stick a credit card in the machine.
They heard the sound of classical guitar before they got close to the coffee shop and Matt held the door open for April then followed her in.
A sudden hush fell over the conversation as they stood in the doorway.
Well, hell. Matt supposed he should have done a little more research. Nobody had said that this particular coffee shop was a gay hangout.
Think fast, Matt, he told himself. He could either cut his losses and run or tough it out. Considering the rumor mill at Peninsula, he suspected he'd hear of this soon... probably tomorrow. He tried to paste on a grin and looked over at April.
She stared back, clearly unamused.
Run or tough it out?

The New Kid
A new town, a new school, but is it the same old you?
Matt's parents have moved to a new high-class suburb. He'll attend a new school but everyone else is rich... he's broke. Will he be an outcast, or can he find a way to make himself popular... and get laid?
