Chapter 224 by robyna

Run or tough it out?

Run

I guess we'd better go someplace else," Matt said. "Let me check my phone and see what else is going on around here. I mean, it's a city, right. Not like the Hill where nothing seems to happen."

"There's a lot going on on the Hill. Parties and stuff."

Parties he somehow didn't get invited to... unless you count serving drinks to horny producers and the starlets who were willing to do anything at all for a shot at a gig.

"Sure. I guess you'd see them in your dad's restaurant. But since we're here... let me see--"

"So, why did we walk out."

"Because it is clearly a gay coffee shop and I didn't think you'd be comfortable."

"Not because you're a homophobe."

"Uh, no. I never got why straight guys would be bothered by other guys being gay. I mean, more girls for the rest of us, right?"

"Wow, that's pretty superficial."

He nodded. "I know, right. Actually I don't give a shit about who people want to spend their time with or are sexually attracted to. For all I care, people could be turned on by doorknobs and I'd say, 'knock yourselves out'. Still, I don't imagine you'd want to be the only girl there."

"Why? You think I like it that guys are always trying to pick up on me? Maybe, for once, it would be nice to be in a place where nobody is fantasizing that maybe they can talk me into going to bed with them."

Matt shook his head. "Sorry. Not nobody."

She giggled. "You really are a pervert, aren't you. Come on, let's see what this classical guitar music is about."

Any problems?
