Chapter 9 by dolpa1 dolpa1

Will Abby's night finally be free from more pranks?

It seems to, until Jack goes missing.

After a blissful interval, Abby turned off the shower and stepped out onto the mat. She wrapped herself in a plush robe, the soft fabric enveloping her like a cocoon. The robe's warmth and comfort were a welcome respite from the earlier chaos. Abby towel-dried her hair, watching her reflection in the mirror. Her eyes sparkled with amusement, recalling Jack's mischievous grin.

With her hair tied back in a towel, Abby padded to the laundry room to start the washer. She carefully loaded her dress and underwear into the machine, making sure to select the delicate cycle. As she closed the lid and selected the cycle, she felt a sense of satisfaction. Clean clothes would be a welcome respite from the chaos.

But as she walked back into the living room, her heart sank. The room was still in disarray. Flour covered every surface, and chocolate pudding stains splattered the furniture. Jack was nowhere to be seen, but a note on the coffee table read: "Still working on it." Abby's eyes narrowed. Something didn't feel right.

She called out, "Jack? Where are you?" but there was no response. The silence was ominous, and Abby's instincts began to twitch. What had Jack been up to while she was in the shower?

Where is Jack? Does Abby find him?
