It is enough

Jessie falls to his knees looking paler than ever and you move your hand to your belly, terrified of being a pregnant girl you rush to the bathroom as a wave nausea washes over you. After fighting back the urge to throw up, you try calming yourself down with a cold shower. It does not help much, touching a body that is not your own is unnerving. Cutting the shower short you soon dress and open the door and find Jessie waiting for you.

He looks you in the eye, "I'm sorry, this is my fault."

You want to agree with him to blame him, after all he did get you pregnant but looking him in the eyes you know it is not fair. How could he have known? "No, it isn't. It's that god damn stranger on the phone."

He gives you a hopeful smile and you let out a sigh and continue, "let's just go to bed for now. See what tomorrow brings."

"Ok," he nods. "I'll have a quick shower and be right in."

You smile as he walks past into the bathroom, somehow you feel a bit better.

To say the dreams were unpleasant would be an understatement. The nightmares were persistent and the mysterious stranger's voice haunted you. The only reason you managed to sleep at all was thanks to Jessie, who held you close in the dark. It may have been the only reason he managed to get sleep as well that terrible night.

You are panting in fear when you wake to the sound of your phone. In a cold sweat, you fumble for the phone and click it and your heart sinks when the stranger's voice greets you, "congratulations!"

Jessica bolts upright at the sound of the voice and a quick glance tells you all you need to know. She is a girl and you are a boy, as it should be. Your panting turns into a sigh of relief.

"Knocked your sister up good there Jess. She now has twins," continues the voice.

"Now that you are back to normal was it worth it?"

Her eyes narrow and your fists clench but neither of you speak glaring at the phone.
