Who is there?
It is Alexandra
Alexandra spots you as soon as you she walks in. She knits her brows and asks what you are doing. You shudder. "Fucking some angel, I guess..."
Awkward silence quickly takes over as she doesn't reply. "Right...Flora down under?"
You nod, prompting her continue. "Oh, goody, she's not dead!" Alexandra drops down, kicking a fair amount of dust in the air as she lands. She stares at Flora for a moment. "What's with you?"
"Nothing," she answers flatly and looks at you. "Everything is absolutely fine."
"Like rabbits underground," you say, stepping closer to the middle. "I wasn't expecting any sign of you guys in...at least a day or two longer."
Alexandra frowns. "Well, there's a hitch."
Flora places down her book and looks up. "What hitch?"
Alexandra pulls back her hair. It was blonde like Scarlet's, but was dirtier colored and considerably shorter. "Amari is being held as a prisoner. Looks like she got caught up in something between the clan in the East and some rival clan bullshit."
"Oh, no..." Flora stood up too now. A look of deep concern takes her expression. "What are we going to do? And where are the others?"
"Stop." Alexandra held her hand out. "Shut up for fuck's sake."
Flora bit her lips and looked away. You placed your hands on your hips and stepped between them. "Hey, come on now. Just, give us what you know."
"...Scarlet got caught, but from what Kenji told me, she played it off like she was going there to become 'one of them'. I don't think we need to worry too much because these people don't seem to be...savages or anything, but it is fair to mention that they're pretty closed out. I can see why Amari spoke with them, they need better gear from our Syndicate." She closes her eyes. "If we could start supplying those guys we could make a whole lot more money than we already are! We might even get our own factory set up out here. Maybe even START SUPPLYING BILLINGS--"
You clear your throat. "What's the plan?"
"Right," she inhales. "Kenji will keep watch and wait for an opportunity. I suggested started a proxy war, but we don't know anything about either one of them. We can't shift the balance too much or there won't be any money involved. You can't supply one party solely and loose a chance to earn double."
You didn't really understand what she was talking about, but you know the ARS are arms dealers. Listening to her talk, you figure she's made a few contracts in her life time - explaining her presence. She steps towards the closet and digs out a sleeping bag - the quality is only second to Flora's stuff. "I'm not spending the night outside. I'll be like one of you rabbits and sleep here until the morning."
"Ha...?" Flora steps in with a smile, but it quickly fades as she chases herself with another question. "What about Kenji? Where is he?"
"He's a big boy. He can handle himself. He's got his ways." She slumps down without another word and flicks off her lights. In just a few seconds she's out. You look at Flora and she looks at you. She seems fairly concerned for the others. You wonder why, but don't ask. You're sure it has something to do with how she was rescued from her trade. Flora returns to her book on the couch.
You decide to go to sleep since there's nothing else to do.
...
...
While you are sleeping, you are woken up. The lights are still off, so you figure it’s either in the middle of the night or really early in the morning. The last sound you hear is the parting of your lips to say something, but then a warm hand is placed over your mouth.
“Shhh!” A voiced hissed. “I need to talk to you about something.”
As soon as words are put behind the words, you quickly realize it’s Alexandra. “It’ll only be for a little bit.”
You push her away and ask what’s happening. As you stare into the abyss, you can feel her stare back, but she offers no other words. She probably doesn’t want to wake up Flora. In fact, there’s probably information that she doesn’t want Flora to know; considering the friction you saw when she first arrived…
You agree and climb up the ladder, which more or less ironically meant you woke her. When you jump out, Alexandra finds her horse and tells you to get on Bill. Again, you ask what she was doing - all to no avail. All that you do is follow her under the darkness of night. Gauging the lack of scenery, you figure only 2 or 3 hours have passed since you had spoken with Flora.
The longer you ride the sooner you realize you are heading towards the airport...Again….?
“I already went through the airport,” you announce, breaking the silence. “I can say without a doubt there’s nothing else in there.”
“Trust me. We’re not here to look for anything. You and I are just gonna talk a little bit, okay?” She trots up a hill, “I spoke to Scarlet before we split ways, it’s important.”
Nearing the entrance of your first mission, you watch her ride in through the shattered glass doors. “Alrighty Bill. Come on now!”
Bill listens to your command. He hurries through the doors and hops over the debris littering the floor. To your surprise, it’s fairly well-lit in here through the holes in the ceiling. The objects, no matter how decayed they are. You can see rotted desks, flipped tables, and rusted chairs under all the foliage that had made its way inside after the nuclear onslaught.
An orange light gets ignited suddenly, flooding the chaos around you. Alexandra holds a lantern as she steps around the trash, covering the cracked and split tiles. “This way.”
The warm interior of the building surprised you. You guided Bill next to Alexandra’s and told him to stay. He snorted in reply. The last time you were you fell through the floor, so you were terrified that the horses might fall through too…
...Nonetheless, you met with Alexandra inside a small room. It looked to be an office at one point. It was poorly lit the last time you were here, but this time you were able to see the old picture frames, the file cabinet, and a little cot that looked like it had frequent use at one point or another.
“What’s the problem?”
“Me,” she says. “I heard you and Scarlet had a good first time. I wanna see how experienced you are with a woman.”
She starts to undress. You smirk and then scoff. “I guess I should be happy, but why now?”
“I haven’t had the pleasure of being with someone in months. Everyone inside our group is either a straight female or a picky Asian dude. Fuck Kenji.” She darts at you, her off-yellow eyes stare at you. “I’ll kill you if you don’t fuck me tonight.”
You laugh at this expecting a joke, but she soon pulls out a gun, making your laugh quickly stop. “You’re serious.”
She pulls back the hammer on her pistol. “Yes. Take off your clothes or I’ll tell the others you fell through the floor here again.”
“But-”
“Don’t make this difficult, I’m sure you’ll enjoy this as much as I will.” She licks her lips. “I wanna see that cock the most though. It’s been forever…!”
You turn around and close the door, trapping some of the heat inside of the room. She lights another lamp as she puts another one aside. She sits on the table and spreads her legs. “I’m waiting, Warren. Show your superior that you can be trusted.”
