It’s an irregular double date

Carla used her “incredible luck” to get a spot right up front as Claire wished for even just a speck of the god’s blessing that was bestowed upon Carla. As the sisters got closer to the ticket booth, the magical spotlight was shined onto Carla as every person, man or woman, was enthralled by her beauty and charm. In Claire’s gamer terms, Carla was the main character basically be given everything she needed for the quest to vanquish the final boss while Claire was the drunk NPC designated to wander the bar aimlessly fighting the physics of sitting in a goddamn chair and repeating the same three designated phrases for all eternity.

She chuckled at her analogy and was broken out of her mental escape by her sister’s fake, enthusiastic voice, “Oh my gosh! Travis, you clean up nicely!” She ran up to him and gave him a kiss as Claire saw his hands immediately grab for her ass. Claire fought the urge to throw up with a simple dry heave while covering her mouth.

Travis was wearing a polo with ripped up jeans. His hair was slicked back and he looked cleaned up compared to his normal disheveled look but Claire still thought he looked douchey. Claire’s ears ringed as she heard Carla ask, “So where’s Claire’s date? I don’t see anyone else around but you, Trav.” Claire facepalmed and immediately knew that Travis wanted a double date with the two twins hoping to get a threesome.

“My boy had something come up but there’s enough of Big Trav to go around if you don’t mind a double date, Carla,” he said with his macho bravado that made Claire consider just running home.

Carla did her cute, innocent giggle and said, “Oh Trav!” She gently hit his arm and continues, “Sounds like you won the Espinoza lottery. C’mon, sis, the Espinoza twins don’t disappoint.” She grabbed her arm and Travis’s arm as she led them to the ticket booth and got three tickets. Travis happily paid for their three tickets.

As they went inside, Carla whispered, “Hey, Claire bear! I forgot my wallet can you buy the popcorn and drinks? I promise I’ll pay you back.” She turned to Travis and said in her fake voice, “Great news! Claire said she’ll pay for the concessions. She also told us to go get the seats.” Claire tried to object but the two of them were already gone. Claire knew that her sister’s tab was so huge at this point that she would have to give her a years salary if Carla ever had to work a day in life.

Claire got in line, grumbled and thought, (Ugh…I was saving this for the release of the remake of one my favorite games. I knew I should have just stayed home…I guess I got to do some more odd jobs to make back the money.) Claire was lost in thought as the line slowly churned down to when she was the next customer. She didn’t realize that her life was about to forever change.
