Chapter 6 by zankoo zankoo

What's wrong with the towel?

It's too small!

"What's the problem, Amy?"

"This towel -- it's too small!"

"I don't follow," said Jason.

"It's not a full towel, it's like a hand towel. I must have thrown the big one in the laundry and left this one in the bathroom by mistake!"

Jason was silent. "Look, Amy, it's going to take me a while to clean up all this glass. I think you're going to have to just come out of there. I'll keep my back to you and I won't peek."

"Where am I going to go? I have no clothes here!"

"Can you go to the basement and get something from the laundry?"

"It's all in the wash, it's going to be all wet!"

"It's better than nothing, right?"

"And I'll have to go down there naked?"

Jason laughed a little. "I don't know! Maybe? I don't think the Brownsteins are home today. And I haven't seen Lenny or Doug. So maybe it'll be okay?"

Amy sighed. "Wow, I don't know. I guess I don't have a choice, huh?"

"No," Jason said. "I'll get to work cleaning the glass. You run out behind me. Take the inside stairs to the basement, grab something, and come straight back up. It'll be fine."

Amy took a breath. "It'll be fine," she repeated. "Okay, Jason. Don't look. I'm coming out." She cracked open the door to the bedroom. Jason was bent over in the bathroom, scooping up broken glass. Amy tiptoed behind him, as quiet as she could be, hoping that silence would somehow make her less naked. (It didn't.)

As she passed behind Jason, he stood upright, still facing into the bathroom. However, the cabinet over the sink was a mirror, of course, and he caught a clear view of Amy walking behind him.

She didn't notice, and he didn't let on. She quickly escaped the apartment, and the door shut behind her.

Does Amy make it to the laundry room?
