Chapter 51 by Quelch Quelch

Who is texting?

It's Brian

Afraid of the consequences should he not comply, Andrew sheepishly took his mobile out of his purse and handed it to his mother, who chuckled “Huh, I should really give you credit, going the extra mile with the details. I’m kinda’ jealous of your new case”, before accessing Andrew’s texts and reading them aloud.

“Hey babe, thanks for an amazing night. I hope you enjoyed yourself as much as I did. I’ve never met a girl as cute and wonderful as you. I would love to take you out tomorrow night if you’re free”, Charlene quoted.

“Just look what you’ve done, the boy’s infatuated! Well that settles it; text him back and agree to the date, wherever he’d like. You’ll be needing to let him down gently, so it’s better to give him some good memories before you risk breaking his heart. You’re going to give him the full girlfriend experience that all those past girls of yours gave you; if you want to trick your friend, then you’re going to trick him whole hog and let him enjoy everything”, said Charlene, tossing the phone back to her son.

Tears were now streaming down Andrew’s face as he began writing a reply, Charlene interjecting with “And make sure it sounds convincing, like you are the ditz you pretended to be writing back”.

While Andrew responded to the messages, Charlene made sure to take a few pictures of Andrew in his girly guise, stating it was leverage to ensure ‘Andrea’ behaved, further dashing any hopes of Andrew getting out of his predicament.

With the final text sent, Andrew flatly stated “Done”, and Charlene replied “Good girl. Now off to bed, it’s getting late and girls need to be up much earlier to make themselves presentable. Plus you’ll need to get a new outfit for tomorrow night’s date if you truly wanna portray yourself as the girly girl you were today. And make sure Andrew messages Brian with a decent excuse as to why he abandoned his best friend; we don’t want your ‘boyfriend’ to be worried now, do we?”.

Andrew responded with a meek “No” and tried to make his way past his mother, only to be blocked by saying “Ah-ah-ah, you gotta pretend to be Andrea till I say so. So again, all ditzy-like…”.

Andrew sighed and did his best to put on his ditzy accent and dialect despite his devastated mood, saying “Like okay MOM, can I PLEASE go now?” like a stroppy valley girl.

“Attagirl, sweety”, Charlene complimented with a smug grin on her face, allowing Andrew to exit and rush up to his room, slamming the door behind him.

He sat himself down in front of his computer and after he sat for a little, reeling from how his situation had gotten inordinately worse, he logged into his computer and brought up his Google phone chat, messaging Brian.

What's Andrew's excuse?
