Is that a joke?

"Let's watch something scary," Jenny piped up. She grinned at me, apparently under the impression that I didn't like them. Given my jumpy demeanor, I suppose it wasn't too ludicrous to conclude that.

Fortunately, that wasn't the case. "I'm for it," I stated, feeling a bit of triumph as the pink haired minx's grin turned into a disappointed pout. I had a feeling that, with Jenny, I'd need to take these small victories where I could find them. She seemed the type to never stop her playful teasing. I had better get used to it.

"I agree," Rachel chimed, still clinging to my right side and giving Jenny a sour look. Noticing the look, Jenny's grin returned and she snuggled against my left side. Well...I had to admit, being the center of attention was nice. Not sure if I was going to survive it, but it was nice.

Snatching a DVD from the shelf, Kim nodded. "Scary it is then," she agreed. She the DVD on and walked over to us. "Hmm...now...where do I sit?" she mused before snapping her fingers...and picking us up. Rachel and Jenny clung tight to me, letting out a squeak of surprise. I'd have done the same if I could breathe.

Sitting on the couch, Kim plopped me down on her lap, letting her "sisters" remain at my sides. "There. Now that's nice and cozy, isn't it?" she remarked. Rachel shook with indignant anger, clearly not happy with me being on Kim's lap. Still, she said nothing. She was being a real trooper about having to share me. Kim put her arms around us, giving the three of us a hug as she started the movie. "Show time."

As the movie went on, I realized that Jenny had an ulterior motive for her genre choice. It was to scare me, sure...but it was also and excuse to hug me for "comfort". Not to be outdone, Rachel was doing the same. To say that this was awkward was an understatement...but it was actually pretty comfortable. In fact...I started to get somewhat sleepy, all wrapped up in my warm, soft "blankets". And I think Kim was making/letting me use her chest as a pillow.
