Irma and Gary

Irma stared at her boyfriend with desire. Yes, at four-foot-eleven Gary was short for a man, but women had been used to being bigger than their partners since time began. And yes, wasn't as attractive as other men. Irma wasn't blind. His tits weren't quite as big, his lips weren't quite as puffy, even his ass was a little too flat, but that didn't change the facts. Irma wanted him.

And Gary wanted Irma!

Her whole life she'd waited for a man to want her, someone to look at her like a man should look at a woman. Gary did that. Each day since they met at the restaurant had been a little better. She'd come home from a hard day's work at the factory and Gary, who would have been home from school for an hour or two, would meet her at the door in one of his adorable sundresses that he liked to wear, and show her what it felt like to be desired.

Family and friends didn't understand, but Irma didn't need them to.

"I know you haven't had men banging down your door," her mother had said through tobacco stained teeth when Irma had brought her boyfriend over for dinner, "but you can do better than that."

"Mom!" Irma exclaimed.

"It's okay," Gary had seemed to shrivel, "I'm used to it."

Well Irma wasn't. She wouldn't put up with that kind of talk in front of the man that she... loved? Yes, it had just been lust at first, a burning desire that she had been completely unused to, but now that they'd been spending more and more time together, it had grown. Irma loved Gary. Loved!

"What're you working on?" she asked, pushing her coke-bottle glasses up her nose with her middle finger.

Gary looked up from his laptop and smiled at her. He would often study in the evenings. His friend Tim had told him that the secret to good grades was to get ahead of the class, do the readings, work a little each day. As usual, Gary had taken the advice to heart. She got it; Tim was the kind of guy that if he told you something, you sat up and payed attention.

"Just reviewing today's notes, baby," he answered, giving her a wink and bringing his left hand up to the neckline of the nightie he was already wearing. He often did that, study in his lingerie. He was a man who had not been wanted his whole life, but now that he had found someone to be with, someone who desired him, he was taking full advantage of it.

"Notes, eh?" Irma said, coming up behind him and staring at the screen. Her chest pressed into the back of Gary's head, the feel of his French braid pressing into her stained Coors Light t-shirt, "Think you could press pause on your review and join me for a little fun?"

Gary was up in a flash, standing on his chair, rounding on her. The look in his eyes was a mixture of need and excitement. Not that she stared at his eyes long. In true Gary fashion, he jumped over the chair, wrapped his smooth legs around her waist, and pressed his lips into hers. She'd learned early on to be careful in her sexual teasing with her boyfriend. Gary had a hair trigger, not in finishing, but in starting. At the slightest hint of a come-on, Gary would be all over her.

Another thing she loved about him.

"Take me upstairs," Gary said, panting, coming up for air, "I need to feel myself inside you."

There were no more words between them. There were none needed. Irma carried her little man to her bedroom, dropped him on her bed, and quickly stepped out of her sweatpants and shirt. Then, just as two lovers in perfect step do, they enjoyed each other without judgement, without shame, but in lust and acceptance. Irma had found her Gary, and for the first time in her life she was looking forward to her future. With him in her arms, the horizon seemed brighter.
