Invite Him In

“Hey…umm…it’s a lot to explain. Do you have a second?” You say cracking the door open a little wider.

“Oh, yeah, I have Gwen covering for me right now.” he trudges through the door and into your small room. You offer him a seat from your desk and you sit on the bed. Before he sits, he removes his apron leaving it by the door. His muscular frame has always looked funny in your rickety desk chair, but the humor is offset tonight by the stiff way he’s sitting.

In all your years of knowing him, he’s never acted like this uncomfortable before. You’re worried that telling him the about your time with the witch is only going to make him act weirder. You’ve talked a little about your escapades in the past but have only crossed the line a few times when it comes to sharing spicy details.
