Invitation

Curiosity is getting the better of me. How does she know my friends but I don’t. Yeah I know her from a couple classes at school but that doesn’t count. Also there’s that brother of hers but we were never close or even friends. Ugh. Have to figure this out.

“Hey Susan want to come in for a bit to talk…. Not like you live far” I ask “ok and we do have to talk anyway “ she says as she unbuckles her seatbelt and turns the car off. We both get out of the car and head towards the front door. “Wait…she didn’t put her clothes back on. This is going to be awkward “ I say to myself. As I get to the front door I put my index finger on the key pad and I hear the door unlock. Which dad changed all the locks to the house last year to keyless because of a situation last year when he got locked out forgetting his key inside the house. So now we just use fingerprint or eye scan. A lot easier and convenient.

As we enter the house and the door closes behind us I see my mom entering the living room. “Hey mom I’m home “ I say. She turns towards both of us. “Hi dear. Hi Susan. “ my mom says “WAIT…. My mom knows her too” I say to myself. “Hi Katherine “ Susan says to my mom. “Whoa wait a minute… how does she know my mom and her first name “ saying to myself. “Well you two have fun and plenty of drinks in the fridge “ my mom says before she turns and takes a seat in the living room “The fact that Susan only has a shirt on doesn’t phase my mom out and yeah I am usually naked at home but Susan is not family or living here and mom always says something to Penny when she doesn’t wear clothes ” I say to myself.

Heading upstairs and to my room. I put my bag on my desk and say “be right back have to use the bathroom “ I say walking into the attached bathroom. “No rush “ she says as she starts looking around the room. I take all my clothes off like usual. But starting to think I grab my floral pattern bathroom robe that’s short cut that just long enough to covers my butt and groin. Not that I am afraid to show off my naked body but something is going on here with Susan that I have to figure out first.

As I am leaving the bathroom I see Susan over by my bookshelf that has my various trophies and awards and ribbons and certificates and such. She is bent over at the waist with her legs slightly spread as she is looking at things. Shaking my head “no….have to stay focused “ I tell myself. “So find anything interesting “I ask Susan as I put my clothes in the bin by my walk in closet.
