Does she investigate or ignore?
Investigate
Cortney’s fingers froze mid-reply. The moan came again—long, guttural, almost pained—and it wasn’t just from the hallway. It was coming from the dorm next to hers. Room 217. Liam’s room. She hesitated, then quickly typed:
Cortney: Did you hear that?
Bryce’s reply was instant.
Bryce: Hear what?
Another moan, louder this time, followed by a wet, choking sound. Cortney’s stomach twisted. She knew Liam was acting acting strange in class, and the fact she diesnt even remember there conversation after class ended. Cortney’s dropped her phone. The moans had stopped from Liam’s room, but the silence that followed was worse. She hesitated for only a second before swinging her legs off the bed and creeping toward the door.
Corrtney peered out of the room, the hallway was empty, but The door to Room 217 was slightly ajar. Cortney peered inside Liam’s room through the cracked door, her breath shallow. The dim glow of a desk lamp illuminated the scene in fractured glimpses: clothes strewn across the floor. Then she saw Liam. He was hunched over something—no, someone—his back o the door. Cortney’s hand flew to her mouth to stifle a gasp. Liam’s head snapped up. His eyes weren’t his own.
They were black, with crimson irises Cortney’s breath caught in her throat as Liam’s unnatural gaze locked onto hers. His lips curled into a slow, eerie smile, revealing elongated canines glistening with something dark. Cortney's body went stiff, as her eyes haze over as Liam stands from the bed, on it lays a girl, her eyes closed, and not moving.
Liam took a step toward her
Run. The thought surfaced weakly, drowned out by the hypnotic pull of his alluring eyes.
Run. Run. RUN.
Came a muffled, weak voice, it was the girl on the bed. But was enough to grab liams attention enough so Cortney was freed from his spell Cortney gasped, stumbling back as Liam hissed, his fingers twitching toward her. Cortney spun and bolted down the hall, her socked feet slipping on the carpet.
