Investigate the Snetterton Collection
After sorting out the dining room, you’re tired. You slump in the office, start up your laptop and browse the internet. Nothing keeps your attention. Instead, your gaze drifts to the box of the Snetterton Collection. Maybe you should investigate it some more?
You go to the box and start rooting through. You’re soon distracted, though, by a small, leather cap. Wouldn’t look good on a shelf, but you’re still intrigued.
It fits comfortably over your head. Intriguingly it has a pouch at the top of the cap, with a small leather tie to close it. The pouch is big enough to hold your hand, but little else. Having investigated the object, you pull out the antiquarian’s notebook and leaf through it. You soon find his drawing of the cap.
He called it the cap of dreams. It’s a sleeping cap, to be worn while sleeping. And if worn while asleep it allows the wearer to enter and control another person’s dreams. An object belonging to the person chosen must be placed in the pouch at the top of the cap. The object must have been in physical contact with the person chosen for several hours during the previous day. The closer and longer the object had been in contact the better the connection and the more control the wearer gets.
The pouch is not very big. There’s no-way you could get much in it. It would have to be something flimsy like a pair of knickers. Yes, underpants would fit in, but not much else. You spend your time investigating further but get nowhere.
